BAIL SET AT 3 MILLION DOLLARS!!!!

Give or take a few dollars. Yes once again the justice system at the Lancaster courthouse is going "cowboy". They've raised my husband's bail for once again NON-VIOLENT CHARGES. So while Lancaster was wasting taxpayer's money, this is what was going on right here in my hometown....please note the bail amount.......$500,000!!!

THE THREE STRIKES LAW

Though originally a good law, throughout the years it has been mis-used and twisted to fit each district attorney's needs. The following link is the policy placed on L.A. County be Head District Attorney Steve Cooley's office:

http://da.co.la.ca.us/3strikes.htm

Yet....despite this, my husband is looking at a life sentence. Let me drive this home.....my husband is charged with a NON-VIOLENT CRIME!!!!!! His controlling case on his other 2 strikes was in 1992!!!!!!!!!

Trust me, I never thought this would happen to us. You could be next. Please go to the following website and educate yourself to reform this law at the next election time.

PIT BULLS & PAROLEES

The title of our reality series through Discovery Network/Animal Planet. Like the title, the show is based around the program that my husband and I started. With each episode teaching compassion and respect for life, each day is a struggle for the ex-felons to find that path to redemption. With the most controversial dog in the world assisting in the process of rehabilitation, it makes me think...
are we a walking target? Shame on the district attorney for turning a blind eye.

A DAY WITH L.A.'s MAYOR

On this day we felt very honored that Los Angeles' Mayor Villaragosa had one of our dogs (Bisoux again) handle the grand opening ceremonies for the North Central Animal Care Facility and give the Mayor the "key to the shelter". A.J., myself, head of L.A. City Animal Services Ed Boks and actress Jorja Fox from CSI, all hung out.

A.J. TO THE RESCUE

A.J. was called in to put his tattoo artist skills to work. Movie dog Laz contracted a lyme disease that removed the pigment from around his eye. Because he is a well known movie dog, his owner feared that his career would be over with a "white eye". So A.J. was brought in to tattoo coloring around the bottom of his eye lid, just like when women get tattooed eye liner. Under the watchful eye of the vet, the cosmetic surgery was a huge success and Laz went on to make more music videos, movies and even talk shows!

STUNTWORK

Here A.J. and stuntdog, Zeus perform for a movie.

HITTING THE BIG TIMES

Canine actor and stunt dog, Zeus and A.J. and reality star Brandon McMillan on the set of CSI - N.Y.

EXCITING NEW CAREER

Here A.J. and resident dog Rocket, perform another stunt in a commercial shoot. Of course once again showing that A.J. was on the right path to "rehabilitation".

PUTTING THEIR BEST FOOT FORWARD

A.J. and Bisoux the Katrina dog, both proving that they are worthy of a second chance. Here they teamed up to do stuntwork for an Adidas commercial shoot.

GIVING BACK TO THE YOUNG ONES

A.J. on a commercial shoot in East Los Angeles. A group of children come out to talk to him about the dogs and how to properly take care of them. He loves children and spent almost half the day talking to them.

HELPING THE COMMUNITY

A.J. volunteered to "babysit" Basset Hound Rescue for the day. He and Tucker hung out like two lost friends.

TRUE REHABILITATION

A picture is worth a thousand words.....not 25 to life.

HOW DO YOU MEND A BROKEN HEART?

A.J. sleeping with "JoJo". Joe is a P.O.S.T. certified narcotics detection dog that I trained some years ago. Upon my husband's release from prison, they became inseparable until Joe's passing right after the parole raid on our house. When he realized A.J. wasn't coming home anytime soon, he literally laid down and slowly died. The vet couldn't find anything wrong with him and said that Joe must've died of a broken heart.

THE REAL A.J.

I first fell for A.J. because he loved animals. Here he is with his dog Thumbelina. Really, D.A. Wiley....you're going to give a guy with a dog named Thumbelina, life in prison??????
